Origin and Terroir
How Coffee Origin Influences Flavour
Altitude, climate, and variety shape what a coffee can taste like. A country name is a map reference, not a single flavour.

Yemen · Medium
Tonic, dried fig, tobacco, and spice. A small natural lot.

Coffee has been dried in Yemen for centuries, usually in the whole fruit, on rooftops. Haraaz is one of those mountain areas. The cup is heavy and unusual: dried fruit, tonic, spice. It costs more because very little of it is exported. It will not taste like a washed Latin American coffee.
The cherry is dried whole. Fruit sugars stay close to the seed, so the cup is often sweeter and heavier.
Origin and roast both show. A usual place for caramel as well as fruit.
